Mowbray Falls Bushwalk

Leave the crowds behind to explore the hidden ranges behind Port Douglas.

Walking along a narrow trail through a variety of landscapes and environments; the top of Big Mowbray Falls won’t disappoint, with an impressive lookout providing views overlooking the Valley below.

Enjoy morning tea besides the many rock pools and shaded areas along the head of the falls. Relax and watch for wildlife or cool off with a refreshing swim before heading back.

Starting at the top of the historic Bump Track, walk down along a narrow trail through changing landscapes and environments.  Reaching the top of Big Mowbray Falls won’t disappoint, with an impressive lookout offering views over the Mowbray Valley below.

Do I need to call to confirm my booking?

While not necessary, we appreciate if you can call or email 24 hours before travel to confirm accommodation details and pick up time.

 

Do I need my voucher?
If you’ve booked the tour directly with Back Country Bliss, there is no need to bring any vouchers or confirmation emails.  If the tour has been booked through a travel desk/Travel agent, please bring your voucher along with you to give to the guide.

 

How difficult is the walk?

The trail is fairly easy going for most of the walk, there is a steep decent to reach the falls.

 

Do we still run the tour if it is raining?

Depends on the amount of rain forecast, please check with us regarding the weather.  If we cancel the tour a full refund will be given.

 

What are the requirements for this walk?
