More walking and strenuous than expected but was a lot of adventurous fun. 8yo and 10yo children had a great time. The guides are patient and great with kids. Shuttle from Mossman was a quick smooth drive (not bad for those who get carsick). If you are prone to back or neck pain, might flare up as it did with my husband. Not fault of company, just from position of lying on the floation raft. Water was cool in September but wetsuits made it comfortable.

Awesome experience! Our tour guides were knowledgeable and joyful to be around, it was a beautiful experience drifting down the pristine river and taking in the atmosphere of the rainforest - a very special place, highly recommended experience.

Best and unique experience ever, the rainforest was amazing in rain. The trip was well organized, Bridget and team are really lovely and helpful. The photos couldn’t show 1/10 of the beauty of the rainforest. We enjoyed ourselves very much

Not only did we see a Ulysses butterfly and Rainbow Bee-eaters, but Jordie was an excellent guide, helping our mixed group travel along very successfully. He interwove knowledge from Kuku Yalangi and newer sources seamlessly and was a superb spotter. The drift is a gentle, Zen mode of seeing the rainforest from the river level. Highly recommended.

Such a great 2 hours on the river drift. Josephine was so knowledgeable and we learnt quite a lot of facts. My sons (8&10) also had lots of fun and were free to enjoy the environment too. Drifting on the river was so so magical. Thank you so much

I went with my teen daughter and her friend. They loved it - said it was magical. I loved it too. It was so great to get off the beaten track out in such beautiful forest. It was the perfect antidote for stress. Bliss indeed!

We had the best time with Bridget and Aiden today on the afternoon tour. The rainforest is truly beautiful and we loved hearing about the surrounding nature and indigenous culture and connections to land and country. It’s a bucket list for us while we are living up here. Floating down the river was so peaceful and we also loved being in the water. Would highly recommend!!

Oh my goodness, I don’t think I have the words to describe how incredible this experience was. Truly a bucket list item! The guides Tia and Sammy made the whole experience 10/10. They were both so fun, knowledgeable and engaging and we cannot wait to bring our kids up next year and do it again.

We had the most amazing time on the river. Our guides Francisco and Sammy showed us things we would have walked straight past. Soaked in the fresh air and drank the crystal clear water. You won’t be disappointed!

The tour itself was good, and it was nice to have little bits of information shared along the way. However, I was quite surprised by how short the actual floating experience was it was around 15 minutes at most. I had expected the floating portion to be at least 30 minutes and thought it may have been in a more private or exclusive area, rather than somewhere that could also be accessed by the general public.At $155 per person, I’m honestly a little confused about the cost, especially as we met at a park only about 5 minutes from the actual location, so there wasn’t much included in terms of transport either.I think the pricing could be reconsidered, or perhaps adjusted depending on the pickup location, as I don’t feel the experience we received quite reflected the $155 per person cost.

We had a fantastic drift down the river. Our guide Renee was so enthusiastic and engaging and made our trip even more enjoyable.

We had the best experience on the Drift tour with guides, Bridget and Aidan.They were both so friendly, happy, knowledgeable and inclusive of everyone.They clearly love their jobs as it showed in how they guided us all and they were both so passionate about nature and teaching us all about this amazing part of Australia.I can highly recommend this experience.Both me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it .

What an amazing experience!Our guide Renee was a great host and so knowledgeable. The trek was quite physical and steering a float is easier than it looks! Overall a magical experience in an awe inspiring part of the word.

Tia and Vincent were such friendly, informative guides for a beautiful part of the world, and I feel very lucky that I got to spend half a day adventuring through the rainforest with them. Learned so much about the land and its traditional custodians, plus got a lovely drift on the river!One thing I really appreciated was how well they turned a ragtag group of tourists into a mini “family” for the day. Not all tours have this kind of vibe and it was really nice.10/10 recommend

The whole experience was amazing.

A full day wonderland and adventure experience provided by our guide Tia.River drifting complete exileratng and imersive experience in a wonderland scenery, endless photo opportunities.Lunch at Mossman gorge centre followed by welcome ceremony presented by Jason. This welcome ceremony was on a near spiritual level of the Yalanji peoples and lands over the generations and in itself is a highly recommended experience.Culminating with Tia's guided tour through Mossman Gorge rainforest and swimming holes.This full day tour is highly recommended as is our tour guide Tia.

Our family of four had the most amazing day with Back Country Bliss! It was an unforgettable experience exploring the Mossman River by raft, followed by a yummy lunch and walk through the Mossman Gorge. Our tour guide, Josephine, was exceptional. Her knowledge and love of the area shone through, and the kids loved learning lots of facts about the animals and plants of the Daintree. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Daintree region!

Josephine and Francisco were great tour guides. Their knowledge of the river and surrounding area is top notch. It was truly an amazing and relaxing experience!

They did a very nice job with the pickup and drop off logistics from our resort and the ladies who manage the excursion enable an environment of fun. The rain forest and float trip is scenic, fun, and educational. We thoroughly enjoyed the excursion and would recommend it to those in the Port Douglas area.

Renee was amazing and super knowledgeable and fun!
