Tucked away in a hidden valley, Spring Creek bushwalk is a 3 hour (3 km) return walk great for the adventurous traveller; With no set path, we rock-hop along a narrow valley to reach the magnificent Spring Creek Falls. Relax and watch for wildlife, or enjoy a swim in the deep rock pools; with morning tea to replenish your energy.

A challenging yet rewarding walk, away from the crowds and a favourite with the locals.

SPRING CREEK REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a technically challenging walk rather than a strenuous one. With no set path we must navigate our way up the valley, rock-hopping along the creek. (lots of fun if comfortable)
  • Not recommended if pregnant
  • Must be able to walk over uneven surfaces.
  • Minimum age to participate is 8 years old.

Do I need to call to confirm my booking?

We would appreciate if you call or email 24 hours before travel to confirm accommodation details and pick up time.

Do we still run the tour if it is raining?

No, the rain causes the rocks to become very slippery.  We have a similar walk in the Mowbray Valley that may be offered as a substitute.  If we cancel a full refund will be given.

Tucked away in a hidden valley, Spring Creek is a secluded area full of picturesque creeks and waterfalls.
This 3 hour (3km) return walk is great for those adventurous travellers, with no set path you’ll need to be steady on your feet as we rock hop along the sides of Spring Creek.   A narrow valley leads us up along Spring Creek to reach the magnificent Spring Creek Falls.

There are plenty of opportunities to go for a swim in the many rock pools that are found along the creek.  A variety of environments along the way, gives us the chance to experience wildlife unique to the Wet Tropics.

A medium level of fitness is useful as we will need to climb over some boulders along the way.  Sturdy hiking shoes with good tread are highly recommended as some of the rocks can be slippery.
