Explore lookouts, boardwalks and fly high through the Rainforest canopy with Jungle Surfing.

A 7am start means we get to experience the Daintree Rainforest as it should be experienced, with almost no one else about. Crossing the Daintree Ferry we enter the Cape Tribulation section of the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics and deep into the heart of the Daintree Rainforest.

First stop is the view over the Coral Sea from the fabulous Alexandra Range Lookout. Sightings of Cassowaries, Forest Dragons and even Buff Breasted Paradise Kingfishers are possible, as we explore one of the various rainforest boardwalks and beaches on the journey to Cape Tribulation.  Stand at the intersection of two World Heritage Areas; The Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.

It’s now time to begin a unique Jungle Surfing experience through the canopy of this remnant rainforest, zipping along above the forest floor. Stand heart-to-heart with the world’s oldest rainforest on a fully-guided zip lining tour between six tree canopy platforms. OR for those not Jungle Surfing, spend 2 hours exploring the beaches and waterholes of Cape Tribulation with your guide.

Lunch is next at Heritage Lodge restaurant with the choice of Grilled Barramundi (fish), Steak or vegetarian option; if time allows, enjoy a refreshing swim in Cooper Creek.  For dessert we head to Floravilla for a refreshing Bio-Dynamic fruit ice-cream (all included).

Back to the Daintree River now for a 1-hour wildlife cruise; search for Crocodiles, Snakes and other wildlife as you learn more about this unique part of Australia. Head south through sugar can fields back to Port Douglas, return to your accommodation approx. 4.30pm, ready for your next adventure.

Awesome day!

We went on the Daintree Adventure Day and it was an exceptional experience! It was a great variety of experiences and we enjoyed every one. Will was a fantastic tour leader and gave us such an appreciation for the area...an area he calls home and obviously loves! Our family of three was joined by another couple making it only 5 people on the tour. Very personal! We loved the lunch stop. It was a beautiful rainforest cafe in the most amazing location. Food was excellent. The ice cream stop was fun! Got to meet the lady who made our ice cream as will seems to know everyone! We were two adults and an 11 year old and all three of us loved the day!

Daintree and Jungle Surfing highlight of our trip

Awesome, Couldn't have asked for a better day out. Jason, our guide was great. His passion and knowledge of the area was infectious. A well organised tour with the little things (fruit, cold refreshing towels & cold bottles of water) making the day thoroughly enjoyable. We went Jungle Surfing, wandered through the Daintree and did some Crocodile spotting. Wouldn't want to do a Tour with anyone else.

Fantastic day trip-a must do.

We did the Daintree Adventure Day which as the highlight of our stay in Tropical North Queensland. From the moment our guide (Paul) picked us up at our motel at 7am the tour was on. He was a mine of information regarding the local area, flare and fauna, and all the animals. It was like having our own private tutor on our mini bus tour, fabulous. The zip lining in the rainforest was awesome, ziplining upside down screaming and laughing away. Then lunch and a dip in the water hole (for those who were keen,) an ice cream en route back to the Daintree River Crossing, and an hour's guided boat trip on the Daintree to spot crocodiles and snakes. Truly a fab day out, and it was nice to be on a mini bus and not be part of a much bigger day.
