Find out what makes this place so special and what amazing creatures inhabit this area. We explore lookouts, boardwalks and fly high through the Rainforest canopy with Jungle Surfing.

A 7am start means we get to experience the Daintree Rainforest as it should be experienced, with almost no one else about. Crossing the Daintree Ferry we enter the Cape Tribulation section of the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics and deep into the heart of the Daintree Rainforest. First stop is the view over the Coral Sea from the fabulous Alexandra Range Lookout.

Sightings of Cassowary, Forest Dragons and even Buff Breasted Paradise Kingfishers is highly possible during the tour as we explore various rainforest boardwalks and beaches including Cape Tribulation, where in 1770 Captain Cook began having his ‘trials and tribulations’.

Then, its time to begin a unique Jungle Surfing experience through the canopy of this remnant rainforest, zipping along above the forest floor.  Stand heart-to-heart with the world’s oldest rainforest on a fully-guided ziplining tour between six tree canopy platforms.  Jungle Surfing turns you into Tarzan (or Jane). OR for those not Jungle Surfing, spend 2 hours exploring the beaches and waterholes of Cape Tribulation.

Lunch is at Heritage Lodge restaurant with the choice of Grilled Barramundi (fish), Steak or vegetarian option.  For dessert we head to Floravilla for a refreshing Bio-Dynamic fruit ice-cream.

Back to the Daintree River now for a wildlife spotting cruise spotting Crocs, Snakes and Eagles while learning more about about this amazing part of Australia.

Finally, if conditions allow, we will enjoy a stop to the upper Mossman river for a cooling dip in the healing waters. Our magical location here is well away from croc habitat so relax and enjoy a dip in the best water in the world.

A short trip back to Port Douglas and you are returned to your accommodation ready to await your next adventure.

Great days adventure

Today we took off on a Daintree adventure day with back country bliss tour. Small just the four of us and a great guide named Paul. This day took us up to the cape tribulation through the rsinforest and then to zip lining adventure called jungle surfing.
Talk about varied activities……. What a blast!
Followed by lunch at a lovely family restaurant called Lync Haven rainforest retreat which was delicious. We carried on to a Daintree river boat tour to spot crocs. Relaxing.
A wonderfully cool dip in a fresh water (croc free) river topped off an excellent day.
Thansk Paul your tour style was just what we were looking for and will go ho,e more knowledgeable than we started the day. Thanks heaps. Highly recommend this tour and this guide. Marie and John

Jungle Surfing, Ice Cream & Wallaby’s!!

We went to Australia on our Honeymoon. This was our 2nd excursion, and we were with another couple also staying at Port Douglas at the time, but they were from WA (Western Australia). First comment I have to say is that our guide (Paul) is the man!! He certainly made this experience awesome, and I don’t know how it could have been improved any other way. So a special thank you to him! I think since we were a small group (myself, husband, other couple and Paul our guide) we just got a great experience. He was so knowledgeable about the eco-system and wildlife (special interest in insects) it truly added to our awesome day. Starting out with the drive and stopping to take in the views and showing us some of the amazing tree’s that end up being intertwined with each other was truly breath taking. We then went Jungle Surfing (or zip lining) and then made our way down to see the Wallaby’s and enjoyed an amazing lunch. Followed by a stop at the Daintree Ice Cream stand (highly recommend!). On our way back to Port Douglas we stopped to take in a river cruise spotting the various crocs in the Mossman River. Overall this was one of our best days here. I highly recommend booking through this company, you will not regret it!! That and they have great stories of the locals around the rain forest and how the area has evolved, giving you a deeper appreciation of the location you are in.
